On 8th February 2023, Adastra IP’s Malaysian Team came together to celebrate the firm’s 19th Anniversary. Despite the pandemic, our firm has made significant strides in expanding our offerings and building our reputation as a leading provider of IP services, particularly in Southeast Asia. During the event, the team shared their experiences and insights, and we all took great pride in the positive impact of our work. We also took the opportunity to look ahead and to discuss the exciting growth opportunities that we see on the horizon. This coming year promises to be even more successful as we continue to invest in our people and to build on the strong foundations that we have established over the past 19 years. The event was a testament to the growth and success of our company, and it was a privilege to celebrate this milestone together. We are grateful for the support of our employees, clients, and stakeholders, and we look forward to continuing our commitment to deliver world-class IP services to you.

We had a visit and discussion with SME Corp's Deputy CEO and Senior Director on matters relating to IP as a business asset for innovative SMEs.

On 2nd February 2023, Adastra IP organised a business forum together with Inngot. In this event, panellists presented the latest trends and developments on intangible assets and IP finance and discussed the role of IP as an asset class in Islamic finance. Case studies on how innovative firms are using IP to access capital were also shown. Additionally, the event was also the official launch of the Adastra IP and Inngot partnership for an IP Valuation Software. Our technical specialists were on hand to conduct a demo and one-to-one consultation session. The event was concluded successfully with a turn out of 105 participants both onsite and virtually from other countries such as UK, Denmark, Singapore, India and Vietnam.

We are honoured to have the royal presence of DYTM Tuanku Raja Muda Perlis Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail and a delegation from Tourism Malaysia on a business visit to Bunglow37. Our Managing Director DS Mohan Kodivel had a fruitful discussion on IP matters with Tuanku.

On 22nd December 2022, our Managing Director, DS Mohan K, attended the ARFF - ASEAN Retail-Chains and Franchise Federation council meeting to discuss plans for an eventful year ahead. The annual meeting was held in conjunction with the ARFF Members Networking Day where we welcomed new members and caught up with old connections.

Adastra IP conducted a 2022 Patent Drafting Course (Beginner Level) where participants were introduced to claim drafting techniques, methodologies and best practices. We would like to congratulate all who have successfully completed the course and hope that it has been an insightful journey. This practice-oriented training was conducted by Senior Australian Patent Specialist, Mr Peter Dojlia, over 5 days; it was attended by individuals across various disciplines from both academia and industry.

DS Mohan K. was invited as a speaker for the Young Hindu Professionals Networking Luncheon 2022 held on the 11th December 2022 at the ASIA PACIFIC UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY & INNOVATION (APU) in Bukit Jalil. It was an engaging session with young and bright talent across different business sectors to provide a platform for them to gain insights into real business and professional challenges, highlights and rewards.

Growing market share, protect business and expand overseas- this was the topic of an on-site seminar jointly organised by UOB Business Banking and Adastra IP at UOB's spanking new and ultra high tech building at Jalan Raja Laut. Participants gathered for a vibrant post talk networking session at their gorgeous lounge with a 360 degree view of KL skyline.

The ASEAN-India Startup Festival is a flagship initiative that aims to strengthen cooperation and collaboration in science, technology and innovation between the ASEAN Member States and India. Our Managing Director, DS Mohan K, was a participating delegate in this event on 27th-30th October 2022. It was a great opportunity to connect with businesses and inventors from the international arena and to further strengthen cross-border ties with ASEAN countries in the field of science and technology.
